A Bit of History... Constructed in 1892, this building was originally yellow brick and was occupied by the Heald's Business College renamed the College of Commerce on the upper floors. The ground floor was a grocery store. The original façade was refaced with enamel and steel in the early 1960's. The turquoise color of the metal panels gives the building a distinctive character in relationship to the surrounding buildings. For many years the two upper floors were the law offices of De Martini, Snyder and Mazzera. Click to Enlarge Bank of Stockton Historical Photograph Collection |
